Still Standing Proud 2651

This is an old dairy barn on our property. The front portion was built around 1850, and the back part coming off of it was added on sometime around 1900. The main structure of the barn was built using trees cleared from the field and is held together by wooden pegs. No nails here! Some of the old doors still have the old smithed hooks with bent nails as eyes. The front part that is viewable in the pictures is now converted to poultry pens with a hay loft above. If you look just under the top bar of the tube gate all the way to the left, you can see some cement, which was originally a water trough. I think that was added some time during the 40s or 50s.
